"Vindinós"
(Video-Dance)
Co-Production: Associação dos Amigos da Arte Inclusiva Dançando com a Diferença and Escola de Dança da Fundação Cultural do Estado da Bahia.
"Harvested wine, danced wine, and we ended up in that dance where only YOU could decadence all the girls in the wheel."
To my grandfather Laranjeira
About Vindinós:
"Knots that unravel in the tale of a story resigned by the experience of three bodies, souls and spirits that dance the Vintage!
VINDINÓS is the experience of each one in Contact with Wine and Vintage: a manifestation and cultural product so Portuguese.
To touch. Taste. Smell. Look. Hear.... Feel. Travel.... Activated memories. Memories reconstructed. Wine harvested."
VINDINÓS, the video-dance with direction and choreography by Joana Laranjeira in a co-production between Dançando com a Diferença and Escola de Dança da Escola de Dança da Fundação Cultural do Estado da Bahia had its first screening in July 2015 in Salvador (Brazil). On January 23, 2016 it was shown at SCREENDANCE MIAMI 2016 in the United States of America and had its premiere on February 02, 2016 in Madeira Island, in the conference room of the Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz.
All the work of image collection, design and video editing was developed by João Pedro Prioste and Miguel Rodrigues, final-year students of the 2015 Professional Multimedia Technician Course at Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz, as well as Sébastien Freitas, a student of the same course who collaborated in the whole pre and post-production process, in the scope of his curricular internships at Dançando com a Diferença that also hosted, at the same time, the then dance course student, Joana Laranjeira.
In VINDINÓS the choreographer and performer Joana Laranjeira herself dances, as well as Joana Caetano and Bárbara Matos, performers kindly lent by Dançando com a Diferença for this co-production.
For teacher José António Gouveia, coordinator of the course at Jaime Moniz High School, "This work illustrates the importance that the process of Training in a Work Context has for our students and that the contribution of the various institutions and companies to it is effectively significant.
Henrique Amoedo referring to the importance of this partnership with the Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz and also with the Fundação Cultural do Estado da Bahia, where the interpreter and creator Joana Laranjeira was finishing her course, says: "Having the opportunity to create a collaborative space between a student of a professional course, that even being Portuguese is doing her training in another country, with students that are here, so close to us, was a chance to create rich moments of exchange and acquisition of knowledge for all and at different levels. It is important to have the opportunity to put the acquired knowledge into practice and the students from Jaime Moniz during their internship period with us were able to get to know different aspects of the applicability of video in the daily life of an association like ours, which is focused on Dance. It was really enriching for all of us and very good to be able to prove, in practice, the quality and willpower of the involved students. To realize now that the result of this work is beginning to be internationally recognized, both for us and for the students - and now professionals, since they have concluded their courses - is a reason for great pride. They have made a great start in their careers, that's what I can say!".
