Drawing and dance workshop
Tânia Carvalho and Luís Guerra conducted this workshop where drawing was explored as a creative technique accessible to anyone with or without previous training in the discipline. Through practical drawing exercises, the participants had the opportunity to experience being, simultaneously and at the same time, the designers and the living models. On the models side, simple situations were created and staged something in line with the “tableaux vivants” technique, giving the chance to explore the immobility and slowness and the challenges to the mind and body that they cause. On the designers side, practical conditions were offered to express themselves with various types of media, that is, different papers and materials with which the subjective impressions of each participant were recorded. At the end there was a public group exhibition with a selection of some drawings by each of the participants.
