Workshop - Madalena Victorino

"Whenever I start a new work, I imagine how it will be. How will people be facing what I am going to propose to them. How will that which I carry in my imagination, which in the hands of others, will be transformed into another dance that I cannot reach before I arrive.

The others, when I don't know them yet, are like knights of a faraway country that I want to conquer. To conquer for my world. The world where dance gives us days and nights of pleasure, of ideas, of accomplishments, of happiness. The happiness of running, of wide gestures, of surrender to the movement that launches itself into space so that time runs ahead of us and takes us from here to there. There, the place where we will always dance. All.

I have high expectations, I have desire, I have immense respect."
