"Encludança - 2nd Inclusive Dance Meeting"

Promoters: Association of Friends of Inclusive Art Dançando Com a Diferença (AAAIDD); Cultural Association Clara Andermatt Company (ACCCA)

The Inclusive Dance Meeting (Encludança) had its first edition in 2010 and arose during the process of consolidating the internationalization of Dançando com a Diferença, as the different realities encountered in the countries they visited were able to motivate those responsible for promoting an event where the sharing and exchange of experiences could contribute to everyone's growth. 

Questioning the different ways of using the concepts "difference" and "inclusion", when talking about artistic works where there is the participation of people with disabilities, was the first purpose of this event. 

Four years after the first edition, the second edition was presented, this time in partnership with the Clara Andermatt Company Cultural Association (ACCCA), besides the support of different public and private institutions. Funchal, Calheta, Santa Cruz, Almada and Lisbon received Encludança activities, between November 6th and 12th, 2014. 

We are not under the illusion that we will have, for now, magnificent conclusions. What is the real aesthetic-artistic contribution of artists with disabilities in the universe of Performing Arts? This is a question that deserves attention and has not yet been much discussed, for example. 

We intend, therefore, to raise new questions and exchange experiences. We simply want to grow and Encludança is one of the spaces we created for that.
