Dançando - Eu conheço o Mundo (Dancing - I Know the World) arose from AAAIDD's need to continue the "Training in Daily Life Autonomy" (TAVD) methodology for people with disabilities. In 2013, Telmo Ferreira developed the first TAVD for the empowerment of people with disabilities. The TAVD encompasses training in cooking, personal care, cleaning, mobility and dance.
This project aims to improve the living conditions of 9 dancers in daily tasks such as: geographical orientation, autonomy in mobility in public transport, care with the presentation and appropriateness of clothing, nutrition (knowing food, cooking basic meals) and develop communication. Improvement of artistic skills in dance.
