ENDLESS
ENDLESS is a show where dance, music and video interact questioning the human condition, life, the degradation of the body and our only certainty, death. Without end? Perhaps.
Visits to the Holocaust Memorial (in Berlin), to the Hill of Crosses (in Lithuania) and to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps (in Poland) allowed the choreographer and part of the cast to feel/live emotions and, in a process of artistic residence, to collect key images that later served as basis for the constitution of the script of this show that was concluded in the peace of Estonia in April 2012.
After a long period of time, in which several phases, with different bureaucratic works, were fulfilled, behold, in November 2010, with the low temperatures that were felt in Berlin (Germany), we began this journey that would later result in the creation of this show. It was the first meeting between the partners of Motivated by Art, Art of Motivation, the Ma-Ma Project.
The Ma-Ma Project - Motivated by Art, Art of Motivation was an artistic exchange project supported by the European Commission through the Grundtvig Lifelong Learning Program in which five organizations from different countries participate. From Germany, Art Aspects - Berlin, from Estonia the Põltsanaa Art Association - Põltsanaa, from Lithuania the Ventos Socialines Globos Namai - Siauliai, from Poland the Caritas of Katowice Archdiocese - Center for Disabled Persons "Divine Mercy" - Katowice and from Portugal the a Associação dos Amigos da Arte Inclusiva – Dançando com a Diferença (AAAIDD), through the Dançando com a Diferença group and its secondary groups.
ENDLESS, a creation of Henrique Amoedo, who was chosen between the partners to be the artistic director and also choreographer of the final performance. The show was created to mark the ending of this project and was integrated in the repertoire of Dançando com a Diferença.
