A work that in 2019 united the regional community around the theme of forced migrations, according to Henrique Amoedo, SAFE (2019) is a journey through paths that are not necessarily those we chose, but those we had as an option to flee with the (false) certainty (internal) that we would find a better world.

As with the previous two pieces, dance, video, and live music will continue to be a solid foundation for us to position ourselves facing the present day. In this last work that composes the trilogy of dignity and human relations (or the lack of them), observing or acting will always be an individual decision.

TALK: "What About After SAFE?"

Ainda Sábado dia 20 de Março às 21h00 juntamos Henrique Amoedo (Diretor Artístico do Dançando com a Diferença e coreógrafo de SAFE); Leonor Barata (Bailarina, coreógrafa e responsável pela Mediação Cultural do Dançando com a Diferença); Cristina Santinho (Investigadora do Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia) e Marta Silva (Diretora da cooperativa cultural LARGO Residências) para uma conversa sobre o tema “E Depois de SAFE?”.

Esta conversa através da plataforma ZOOM pretende revisitar as memórias dos participantes e daqueles que colaboraram para criação do espetáculo SAFE, criando uma reflexão social em torno da problemática das migrações forçadas e sobre o papel social e artística desenvolvido em torno da preocupação por aqueles que à procura de uma vida melhor arriscam a sua vida à procura da sua paz e bem-estar.

Also on Saturday March 20th at 9:00 pm, Henrique Amoedo (Artistic Director of Dançando com a Diferença and choreographer of SAFE); Leonor Barata (Dancer, choreographer and responsible for the Cultural Mediation of Dançando com a Diferença); Cristina Santinho (Researcher at the Networking Center for Research in Anthropology) and Marta Silva (Director of the cultural cooperative LARGO Residências) will be together for a conversation on the theme "And after SAFE?"

This conversation through the ZOOM platform intends to revisit the memories of the participants and those who collaborated in the creation of the show SAFE, creating a social reflection around the problematic of forced migrations and the social and artistic role developed around the concern for those who, in search of a better life, risk their lives in search of their peace and well-being.
