Municipal Theater receives III Meeting of Accessible Culture

On October 4th, the Municipal Theater "Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias" will host the III Meeting of Accessible Culture, an event organized by Câmara Municipal do Funchal.

This meeting will focus on two important themes in the artistic and cultural environment: Promoting Cultural Accessibility and Good Artistic Practices for Social Inclusion.

The session aims to provide participants with a space for reflection and sharing of experiences between partners and institutions working for accessible culture and social inclusion. In this sense, we will have the presence of Paulo José Silva, coordinator of the Biblioteca de Marvila - Lisbon, Henrique Amoedo, Artistic Director of the Grupo Dançando com a Diferença, Catarina Claro, cultural mediator of the association Associação Cultural Casa Invisível and Hugo Castro Andrade, president of the association Associação Olho.te. A debate that will have the moderation of the journalist Filipe Gonçalves and with interpretation in portuguese sign language (LGP) by Maria Garrido.

According to a press release, the Câmara Municipal do Funchal believes that art and culture are for everyone and for everyone, regardless of social class or physical limitations, and it is in this sense that the realization of this meeting can help bring it even closer to the culture of the region to the community that surrounds it.
